The Vehicle Air Conditioning Cycle
To produce conditioned air, refrigerant has to cycle in the following sequence:
- Starting at the compressor, where it is heated and pressurised, travelling then as a vapour to the condenser, forward to a receiver drier*, where moisture and debris is removed.
- The refrigerant travels towards the back of the engine where a valve lowers the temperature and pressure of the system, thus allowing cool refrigerant into the evaporator, situated right behind the heater. The cold evaporator draws heat from the heater, cools it (evaporates) and distributes cold air through vents in the vehicle cabin............. which is returned by suction to the compressor..... to begin again.
* All vehicles have a drier, although not necessarily in the same location.

| There are two main kits available. |

1) The more common and widely known is the cradle type hands free, which also charges the phone and includes a separate speaker and aerial, or can be upgraded to run through the car's audio system.
2) The Bluetooth option, this has a central switch mounted on the dash which is programmed to your phone. (The Bluetooth option can be paired to more than one phone and also to any make, unlike the cradle option, where, for example, a Nokia phone would only work with Nokia hands free).
No Holes Bracket
The non-damaging bracket allows for the cradle of your hands free car kit to be placed in the most appropriate position on your dashboard with the benefit of not having any holes drilled on your dashboard. Each bracket is made of a metal alloy; it is a stable, reliable way of mounting your car kit, to ensure that no visible damage occurs to your dashboard during the installation. The non-damaging bracket is vehicle specific and varies depending on the year of manufacture. Each bracket comes with an international safety approval mark.

Reverse Sensors will detect obstacles behind you to aid your parking and enable you to get into those tight spots without damaging your car. Using ultrasonic technology they emit a cone of sound behind which bounces off obstacles behind your car and returns to the sensor, the time taken for these sound waves to bounce and return off obstructions behind your car is how they calculate the distance to the obstacle behind you. You are then warned by a repetitive beep, which will change to a solid tone advising when you have reached the distance required from the object. This is the same technology that is fitted on cars from new. (Options of 2 x sensors or 4 x sensors - these can be coloured coded to your bumper). |
Some systems can be upgraded to include an additional LED/LCD display unit.
Reverse camera kits are suitable for cars, vans, motor homes, camper vans and coaches. A discrete monitor in the rear view mirror automatically switches from mirror to colour TFT monitor when reverse gear is engaged. (AV extension leads are available enabling this system to be fitted to a fixed body vehicle of just about any length).
